According to tsa.gov you are permitted to carry on knitting needles.

A Lacrosse stick in on the list as not permitted.

I know it makes no sense what so ever. Kind of like lighters are not permitted but matches are allowed.
There are all these inconsistancies that makes flying even more frustrating.

but knitting needles are? that makes no sense to me
and they took my cuticle cutter in mexico- I made it out of JFK with it
I feel like a knitting needle can do the most damage of all the things I listed- if you were looking to hurt someone

they took my tweezers in St Lucia coming back to NY, I said to the lady I left JFK with these. She took them anyway. Stupid!

How about a 7" screwdriver? That can also cause a lot of damage, plus it has a handle, but it's permitted. Definitely don't understand the rationale behind some of these rules....

Re: Xpost: Does anyone know if you can fly with knitting needles?
That is my fear is that I will be able to fly there with them, but on the way home they might want to take them. I might check them just in case on the way home.
Honestly, it doesn't make sense to me, that is why I was checking.
