...what do you do while the cleaning person is there?

Do you help clean? Relax? Leave the house?

Right now I have a cleaning person here and she's working in the kitchen and I'm sitting on the couch w/ my feet up and feel like such a schlub. I have to move my car for alternate side parking around 11:30 and fold some laundry, but this scenario made me curious--

what do you do while someone else is cleaning your house?

I go upstairs when they clean downstairs and vice versa.

I have only been home once when she was here and it was awkward! I had to work - so I spent time in the office on the computer... and then I left to do some shopping.

My husband is home every week when our cleaning lady comes. He usually works on his own stuff (laundry/fixing stuff, etc..) His rule is to just stay out of her way. He has - however - also napped while she was there.. which I just find hilarious for some reason!

I struggled with this for a while and I usually left the house for a walk with the baby....BUT now it is too cold for this


so I usually made myself busy with looking through papers, doing laundry...trying to look like I wasnt doing anything lol

I always offered lunch
