xPost from IF: PCOS ladies/Provera Q/ HELP
my first 3 PP AFs were relatively normal (33-36ish days), now I'm on my 4th cycle PP and we're on day 58 with no AF. and NO, I'm definitely not pregnant.
I left my OBGYN the week I delivered my son - I'm no longer with that practice and I will never go back.
I have my annual/first appt with my new OBGYN (the staff Dr at the hospital when I delivered) in March. Nothing available for new patients before that.
The RE I was seeing for my PCOS (prescribed my glucophage) before I was PG can't see me now because my ultimate goal isn't to have a baby and they only thing they'll do for me is prescribe BCP.
I'm trying to avoid hormonal BCP because I can't deal with the side effects. It destroys my skin, i get hot flashes, etc.
Sooo if there isn't anything "natural" that brings on AF, where do you suggest I go to get some Provera? (what Dr)
Thanks!

My gyno said it was ok to go 3 months without AF - if I went more than that to call for a provera script. If you have an appointment in March with your new doctor, I'd wait and see if AF arrives by then. If you don't want to wait that long, I'm sure your old ob, your new ob, or even your GP can call in a prescription for you.

I'm wondering why your RE won't give you a script for Provera but will give you BCP. I'd wait probably wait until the apptmt with your new OBGYN, I remember not getting AF for 5 months and being ok with it. If, not, maybe talk to your general doctor and see what he says.

thanks ladies, I appreciate it.
I get horrible rashes from the hormones - I'm trying to avoid that at all costs. I'm in my sister's wedding in July and there's no way I'm doing it with hives all over my neck/back/arms.

Id think you would be ok if you waited till March. You might even get it by then.
You could always call the new practice and tell them the problem...see what they say.
