XPost from Parenting...Graco Snugride or Britax Chaperone Infant Car Seat?
Looking for some thoughts on which infant car seat is better.
I thought I was set on the Graco Snugride because everyone seems to get that one...but I'm reading a lot of great things on the Britax Chaperone and it's won some awards and stuff.
Now I'm torn...thoughts?

personally i like the graco snugride (that's what we're getting) i liked the look, feel and price better.

Good to know...I have yet to see/feel them in person yet. Guess that will help me decide. I definitely want to go with whatever is lighter weight.

i am getting the Graco Snugride as well.
and the reason for that is.. not sure how true this is. but for the Snap and go strollers.. its best to use the graco snugride instead of another brand.
they dont click in as good.
so my decision was based on the stroller .

also keep in mind when you are looking that there is the graco snugride and snugride32 which is bigger but also weighs more...each pattern seems to come in one or the other

oh and there are 2 snap and go stollers, the "snap and go" which i think is made by babytrend and graco makes it own too...i'm getting the one by graco

not sure if you are thinking of having more than one child and, if you are, if they will be at the ages that you will need a double stroller. if so, check compatibility b/c many doubles have limited compatibility with carseats.

I just LOVE the no re-thread harness adjustment on the Britax Chaperone...watching their product demo online kind of has me sold on this one. I wish Graco had a product demo as well. The Britax seems to have more updated, easier features. My only thing is the anti-rebound bar on the base...as safe as it sounds - the pics of bigger kids in the seat make it look like their feet hit the bar and I'm wondering if that would be an issue.

i love my snugride. if ur willing to spend the money go for the britax convertable and get the snugride infant carrier.
they are in the infant carriers for such a short time

I absolutely loved the Graco Snugride. I am actually excited to be able to reuse it with DC #2. I loved how light it was and the fact that I could use the Snap and Go solidified my decision.

But we loved the chaperone in the store and have heard nothing but good things about britax and how safe that brand is. I did get the chaperone stroller, and got the baby trend snap and go for the infant carrier. It fits just fine. HTH!

No problem!! If you go on the baby trend website, it is one of the infant carriers that fit that snap and go, You do have to use the strap but it seems very secure. Oh, and if you buy it at BBB I believe you can use the 20% off coupons- Britax isn't one of the exclusions

I thought I was going with the snugride too, then saw it in person & didn't like it. DH thought the padding inside the seat seemed flimsy. We went with the Chico Keyfit 30 instead. It seemed like it had more padding, and would be more comfortable for the baby. I know that doesn't help sorry.
