Re: xpost: parking in the City near Rockefeller Center?
Last year we took ds to see the tree and we decided it would be best to take the LIRR & subway rather than paying $60 for parking b/c that is def what it would be...
It was an experience to say the least but we will do it again this year! It wasn't the most convenient situation but with DH it wasn't bad navigating the subway... I would rather spend the $ and have a nice lunch somewhere with ds then spend the $ on a parking garage...

Re: xpost: parking in the City near Rockefeller Center?
We went 2 weeks ago...we parked at the street right before Radio City ( I wanna say 48th ??) It was the right, right before it and there was actually a guy standing in the street holding up a "Parking" sign....The garage is almost as soon as you turn on the left hand side...We have an SUV, so parking was $$$$ ( I'm remembering somewhere along $60 ish)...If you do park there, you pay at this little machine and it takes either credit card or exact change only (cash) ...Its very convenient to there though...Our show was at 5pm,...Try to give yourself a little extra time to park, because in NYC, if you make a wrong turn it will cost you an hour ( or so we found out when we were looking for a close parking lot !)
