Xpost: QUICK - WWYD?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and DH was away all this week and will be away again next week. Now he's gotten an invite to go away again the week after so that will be 3 weeks out of the month where he'll be away. Not really a problem normally except that that 3rd week is also my 30th birthday. He's asking me what he should do? I don't want him to go but I also don't want him to miss opportunities. It's a newish job.

I'm actually more than a little hurt that he didn't just tell them no.

What do you think?

tell him to go. i know you're hurt - that's a normal reaction - but he didn't plan this, and it would benefit him to go.

just make sure he knows it's his DUTY to plan something super spectacular for your birthday when he gets back Chat Icon

It is your 30th birthday. Unless the other plans are SUPER important, he should stay and celebrate with you. Chat Icon

Just wanted to add that you should be relieved that he didn't make the decision without consulting you. I think it was great of him to ask you what you thought.
