Re: napping 3x a day at 6 months...

My DD is 6 mos and she still goes down after about 2 hours of wake time so we do 3 or 4 shorter naps a day. I was wondering when they shift, but not rushing it at all. Chat Icon

Re: napping 3x a day at 6 months...

Nate took 3 naps (at least 45 min- hour each) until he was a year old. Once he went to daycare it went down to two.

We get three naps a day out of Ava. The catch is, they're only 20 minutes each. TOPSChat Icon

Re: napping 3x a day at 6 months...

Marron is 7.5 months old and still naps 3x per day if we are home. Each nap is about an hour. Sometimes the middle of the day one is almost 2!! Chat Icon

It sometimes makes it really difficult to go out and do anything because she doesn't really nap that well in the stroller. If I do take her out and she misses her naps, I feel guilty.

ETA: the bad part of this is that she doesn't sleep the usual 12 hours at night. It is often only about 10.5. Even if I try to knock out her last nap and put her to bed earlier, she just gets up earlier. Chat Icon

Jake was napping 3x a day until he was around 10 months. I miss those days... Enjoy it!

That's my DS when we are out. His naps are only 20 minutes to the tee!

When it comes to naps at home I can't really say what exact schedule we have. I never know how long they will last. So sometimes it's 2 or 3 naps.

Re: napping 3x a day at 6 months...

Ella's only 5.5 months, but she naps 3 times a day. Usually a nice long one in the morning (1-2 hours) and then shorter 30 minute naps.

Sometimes if her 3rd nap is late (6-6:30), she'll stay asleep for the night (but to avoid a 4am wake up, I'll wake her and feed her before I go to bed).

She generally sleeps 8-8
