Yankees. Pink Bats!!!
i know this is sports related, but i thought this was so Awesome, so i wanted to post it here  
The Yankees are using Pink Bats today. After the game, they're going to sign them, and auction them off- all proceeds will go to the Susan G. Koleman assoc.
i just though this was such a great idea- and great thing to do on Mother's day

last year, it was just wristbands and patches for breast cancer...this year, the whole league is using pink bats!!!

i was wondering if the whole league was doing it (I just turned on yankee batting practice and saw it for them so i went with it). i really think its such a Wonderful idea. props to the person who thought of it!

Only a few Yankees had pink bats. They looked great! I like that Giambi had the name of his mom on his pink bat as well.
They did lose today though.

Suzan Waldman said that one player didn't want to use the pink bat. He said he loved his mother but he wouldn't use it.
Suzan admonished him on the air. Shame on you she said.
She's a BC survivor herself and I applaud her for this.
She said that it could be the proceeds from that bat that keep the researcher in the lab for two more days and actually discover the cure.
Good hypothetical.

on a side note... does anyone really believe that they will ever find a cure for cancer?
I don't  there is too much $$ in the medicine. sorry, I know that is cynical, but that's how I feel. It’s crazy how many trillions have probably been spent on finding a cure.
