YAY! Another test comes back good.
So from day one my son has done nothing normal, came into the world with a bang, and has had to have a lot of testing, and Dr. appointments, which will continue.
So we were with neurodevelopment last month, and she noticed his hands had just one crease each. She looked at my hands, and asked if anyone in the family had this, And as far as I know, they do not. I guess this raised questions about his chromosones because although it can be common for a child to have one hand with a SImian crease, for both hands to have it is rare (4% of population) and those that do most often have down's syndrome, or another genetic issue. Although I TRULY feel my son is fine, and will continue to be fine, my stomach was of course in knots. The call came today that his test is normal YAY!!!!!
I guess he is just a special boy that loves to give his momma heart attacks, but he is well, and that is all that matters to me right now.
Anyone else here have children with this? It's called bilateral SImian creases, I am just curious if your docs have said anything??

Interestingly enough Ariel doesnt have a simian crease and she HAS Down Syndrome...
I had a girlfriend of mine whose son had a simian line on one hand and a sydney line on the other...I was actually the one that noticed it not the doctor...

My friends daughter who also has DS does not have the creases either. I don't know what a sydney line is, I will have to look that one up. Interesting facts. I Really don't stress too much over this stuff anymore because I just love my son so much, I know we will work with whatever presents itself now or in the future.

my first boyfriend had simian creases. he used to say that according to an old wives tale, the creases meant he was going to handle a lot of money...
there was absolutely nothing wrong with him developmentally. now personality, that was a different story 
glad to hear everything is fine
