YAY! Going on Post-Babymoon!
OK - it's a waaaaaaaaay post-post-POST Babymoon since Athan will be 11 months soon but I am so excited.
I am going to Hawaii for work next week for a few days so Chris will be coming with me (Athan will be with my mom all week) and we will be staying the week - 2 days on Oahu (Waikiki Beach) for work and then the rest of the time on Maui. I am so excited ESPECIALLY given the cold, snowy, wintry mix we have been getting the last few days.
If anyone wants to share some ideas of where to go and what to see I would appreciate it!!!

Umm, where do you work and are they hiring?
You're going to LOVE it!!!! Must, must, must eat at Mama's Fish house in Maui!!!
And there's great snorkeling at the Molokini crater.
You can go see the volcano at sunrise. OMG, I can go on and on.
Can I say how insanely jealous I am????

I second Mama's Fish House!! There is also an EXCELLENT magic show, forgot the name though 
The Hamburger joint in town. Enjoy, Maui is a lot of fun!!!
Also, the million mile drive is a must!! (forgot the actual number of miles, think it is 70 or something).

THANK YOU!! Are you referring to the Drive to Hana? I have the Fodor's book and it recommends doing the drive. Did you do it? Was it worth it? Sounds beautiful!

Please - keep going on and on! We have nothing "planned" yet for Maui except the Old Lahaina Luau. Fodor's recommended it so we booked that for one night. Also considering the Drive to Hana. That sounds spectacular. We are staying in West Maui if that makes a difference - Kannapali Beach area.

I do PR for Visa and they are a corporate sponsor of the NFL so we are going to the Pro Bowl in Honolulu to do an event with some NFL players at a local high school. This week Tampa for the Super Bowl.

OMG, my husband would totally divorce me right now for you, Maria!!! Football and Hawaii - his 2 great loves!
A great book to get is called "Maui Revealed".
I loved the road to Hana, but it is a full day trip, especially from West Maui. I think it takes something like 1 1/2 hours just to get to the start of the road to Hana. The Maui Revealed book gives you great points of interest to stop at during the drive.

Yes that is it!!! I was mixing up the name with a similar drive in CA. We went around (where they tell you not to go, and it was very interesting)!! But, you can't do that anymore. It is a beautiful drive, be sure to stop at the 7 pools!
I would get the Blue Book, Maui Revealed, it was so amazing, we brought it and read it wherever we went, it was sooo right about everything!

Ladies thank you SO VERY MUCH!!!! Mama's Fish House, Snorkeling at Molikini crater, and the Drive to Hana are all on the list and I will share pictures when we get back I will also go and buy Maui Revealed tomorrow! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
