Yeah, baby, my show won an award! UPDATE
The Talkin' Broadway 2006 Summer Theatre Festival Citations recognize new plays and musicals selected by our panel of jurors as ready to move to the next level of production and development, and to performers of demonstrated excellence. For 2006, the winners are:
Outstanding Documentary Theatre: My Mother Told Me I Was Different: Voices From the Rebellion, by Carol Polcovar as presented in the Fresh Fruit Festival Awarded by Dan Bacalzo

Update 10/20:
When we closed the show in July, we knew it had done really well and there was talk of a future longer run (A festival only allowed us 5 shows on a limited budget). Now, the director tells me there IS something in the works for Spring 2007. They're being deliberately secretive until things are set in stone. I guess they're planning on using the same cast and crew, becuase otherwise, why would he go out of his way to tell us? If I were a union member he'd HAVE to use me again... but anyway... if this is an Off Broadway run (  ), or a biggerbudget Off Off run, I could actually get $$$. If it's Off Broadway it would mean a union card. I don't want to jinx it, but keep your fingers crossed for me.

I am also pretty sure we are going to win awards from the festival itself, but that doesn't happen until the Spring. 
That was my first professional show

This is important because there was some talk of an off broadway run of this show, and if they wanted to keep the same production team (which is rare, but happens..and in this case, the director and producer loved me), it could mean an equity contract for me!
Which would mean I'd get my union card and get paid something like $600 a week for the show, instead of the $170 I made (total) on the original production
