Yeah.. I'm Bragging!
So we went to the neurologist and she is pretty convinced he has childhood epilepsy. It's not a terrible diagnosis and although his chances of having another seizure are pretty high, she is also pretty sure he'll grow out of it by puberty. She said the spiking on the EEG is consistent with the area of his brain responsible for learning and processing information. He says "Well, I'm really smart - so maybe that caused extra electricity in my brain?" She smiled and said "Maybe!"
When we got home, I see that we have a letter from the school. Robbie has been selected to test for the SEED program in school! It wasn't a huge surprise - he's been doing mathletes - but it was gratifying to see on paper that his learning/processing is more than fine despite whatever 'spikes' are going on there.
