Yet another Kaleb update!

It’s Been Two Weeks


It has been about two weeks since I have updated about Kaleb. I have nothing but good news!!!! Kaleb is DOING GREAT!!! I mean really good! He is strating to get used to a lot of things. For instance, in the past when we would move him, hold him or bother him, he would get very irritated... Now he is TOTALLY DIFFERENT. He LOVES to be held and loves his weedkday nurse. He dosen't cry when he gets a diaper change. He lets you know when he has a poopy diaper. He stays awake HAPPILY for a few hours at a time. He does this cute thing with his arms and holds them up in the air as if he were flying! Maybe he is dreaming of flying! He holds onto rattles. He has started to rub his eyes a little bit. The other morning I got up and went and said goodmorning to Kaleb and he was out like a rock... but as soon as I spoke, he opened his eyes!!! HE CAN HEAR! I KNOW IT! He just has a healthy glow now. I know that he is healing.



He went to the nuerologist the other day and she thought he looked great too! She did go up on the seizure meds a little bit. He was having these really wierd twitches... She said that she could say if they were seizures or not... But they really aren't that bad. He also went to a rehab doctor and he says that he has good flexibility that he doesn't even have to wear braces!



Josh and I have started to try to take Kaleb with us to the store, my parents house and friends' houses. At first Kaleb hated it. He hated the car seat, the car, and the stoller. He hated anything that wasn't at home. Now he has come to enjoy it... He seems so relaxed now when I take him places. We are trying to win the battle with the car seat though... that makes outings a little bit difficult. So we got him this carseat that is supposed to offer the BEST su pport for the head amongst other areas. WELL.... Kaleb's head likes to fall forward the entire time! So I have to pull over quite a bit and readjust his head. THEN! once I figured out how to make his head stay back... THE STRAPS ARE TWISTED AND UNEVEN... It's always something with the car seat! For the amount that it cost, you'd think that they make it user friendly. Josh and I thought about it and we want to invent a car seat just like the one Kaleb has but instead of using straps we want to use something similar to a seatbelt. I think that would solve a lot of frustration for parents.



Kaleb has almost been home an entire month! Wow his birthday is only 3 months away! I can't beleive that he is almost 1! I pray that Kaleb is sitll be home three months from now! I thank God EVERYDAY for saving my little boy! I thank him for all of the blessings that he has given us. I know that he hears all of our prayers! Thank you!
