Yet another potty training issue...
Need opinions. I feel DD is ready to potty train. She is 2 years 2 months. She often wakes up dry in the morning and understands pee pee and poo poo go in the potty. So I decided to try last week. I got her pretty undies and her favorite candy that she is rarely allowed to have as a reward. So we start and day one she pees a little in her undies and realized it and successfully went on the potty 2 times (it was later in the day). I put a diaper on that night and next morning she wants NOTHING to do with the underwear. She screamed for a diaper so I put one on and then later in the day she wanted undies and put them on her. She had a accident once and went potty twice. The next 2 days went on like this until I decided to wait and put the diapers back on all day. She hasn't asked for the underwear and I figured I would wait another few weeks cause the back and forth is probably bad and confusing. So my question is (after all that) did you decide or did DC decide when it was time to potty train? It sounds silly now that I am writing it but the Doctor says you can do more damage by pushing it and I just want some BTDT advice. Thanks.

Re: Yet another potty training issue...
going through the same thing here...
we had 2 days of success with both pee and poop a few weeks ago. DD loved her princess pull-ups and would sit on the potty until she literally fell asleep.
lately? NOTHING. i ask her if she wants a pull-up or undies and all she asks for is a diaper. we had success with poop today, but pee she waits until her diaper or pull-up is on .
i have yet to put her in just underwear because i can't afford to get all my area rugs and/or couches peed on. she already peed on her rug once. i'm at a loss as well. she won't tell me when she needs to go, and flat out "lies" when i ask her if she's wet (she knows the difference).
i have DD#2 arriving in 9 weeks and want to enroll DD#1 in nursery school come january where potty training is "required" (they will help as long as she's in pull-ups and on her way)

Re: Yet another potty training issue...
In my experience with my 2 oldest kids they were the ones that told me they were ready...its not something you want to push My DS refused to go on the potty and one day just decided he was going on the potty and didn't need diapers, he was 3, My DD did the same thing when she was 2.
