Yet ANOTHER Question
So - DH and I took Molly out for a walk this afternoon. She is always out in the backyard but we maybe take her around the neighborhood a few times a week. WELL....we noticed that she started foaming (from the mouth) and drooling. We came right home because I was so freaked out.
We just took her out again - she got pretty far - and then started foaming again. WHY is this happening? Her vagina is still swollen so I guess technically she is still in heat (and the vets don't know if she will ever get out of it) - so could that be why? Is she picking up other dogs scents and getting horny?? She isn't out of breath or panting so I don't know what it could be.
THANKS! Sorry - I must be the most paranoid pet owner out there.

Re: Yet ANOTHER Question
BTW- she had her rabies shot right? I mean thats atypical first guess? Also dehydration can cause foaming, and poor stomach indigestion.
I would call the vet.

Re: Yet ANOTHER Question
I'll google it now - I just hate when I do that because I drive myself nuts.

Re: Yet ANOTHER Question
Dogs do that when they need some water. If she was foaming at the mouth because of rabies she would have other symptoms of rabies.

She did spay her, and it was a very bad surgery.
Diana I'd make sure she is drinking if you give her water, and call the vet just to see what it could be. Is there yellowish foam coming from her mouth?

Thanks! It actually was just saliva-ish. Looked exactly as if I were to put soap in her mouth - bubbylike.
I'm going to call the vet now. Thanks!
