Yogurt Smoothies
I am trying to think of easy breakfast ideas for my girls (4 and 2.5) since I have to get them ready for school and out of the house by 8:15 each morning...I've never had to do that before so I am nervous! They love smoothies, but I am looking for ideas of what I can add in them to make them more substantial. I usually do yogurt (whatever flavor is left!), strawberries, and bananas...any other ideas?
ETA: Is there anything I can add to the standard smoothie to make it more substantial? I have added protein powder to my own and I use that in my homemade granola bars for me, but never for my kids. I would love for this to be their breakfast, but I feel like it might not keep them full since they don't seem to drink a ton of it.

Re: Yogurt Smoothies
I make my own smoothies too in the magic bullet with fresh berries, bananas and Greek yogurt. I also add some granola to it. Gives it a nice crunch. I love the Aurora Vanilla Crunch granola ( produce section at Stop n Shop & Waldbaums).

Re: Yogurt Smoothies
I started a thread like this about a week ago...you can search for that, I got lots of great ideas.
My problem is - putting it in the right sippy for her to drink- she can barely get it out of her straw sippy!!
But on top of that, I still haven't made one that she'll drink. And I have added TONS of chocolate syrup...but I think she's just finding it weird because it's not milk.

I use the cheap throw-away cups with the straws for smoothies...they still leak, but only when they are totally on their side or upside down for a while, since the smoothie is thick. I will look for the thread. Thanks!
