You know what annoys me
People keep asking me when are you going to have a baby, Which they all know i cant have a baby "Ever" and they still keep asking... Why do i have to repeat myself all of the time and tell them that "I" Cant.. Believe me i accepted i cant have them, But it still hurts when i'm being asked. Yes i wish i could have them so i can feel like i "Belong" and like i said in the past my friends kids can have friends to play with, But that will never happen or My nieces and nephews wont have any cousins and my sister and mom and dad will miss out being an Aunt and Grandparents.

i COMPLETELY understand!! I've known since i was about 7 years old that i would never be able to have a biological baby. ( my ovaries aren't formed right, so i don't make eggs- so even IVF would have to be done with a donor egg) I do want to be a mom, so i've always had it in my head that i would adopt when the time came. DH is on board with it, too.
all of our close friends know this but they STILL keep asking us when we're gonna have a baby and when we're gonna adopt!  it annoys me because they aren't the ones who have to go through the process of being interviewed by a social worker, applying to an agency, and saving up almost $30,000 to pay for the adoption!
maybe your friends think that you are going to try an alternative, like adoption or IVF- so maybe thats why they keep asking?? i think all you can do is just keep making it clear that its not gonna happen. i'm sorry! its hard enough to deal with this without being questioned all the time!

You'd think in this day and age, people would just know better and not be so f'ing rude!! It makes me so mad and I'm very sorry that you have to deal with this. Maybe you can answer them with a question or statement that reminds them how rude they are!

Sorry you have to deal with this. It kills me when I hear people say "just adopt". They make it sound so easy, like "buying a car". Most of them have no clue of the lengthy process and cost.

Because people are inconsiderate a-holes who are obsessed with what other people do.
Why it bothers or concerns them is beyond me.
I could give a sh!t who has kids and who doesn't, who has cats, who has dogs, who is gay, who is married, who is single.. etc
Doesn't affect my life
But some people are overly concerned with other people's lives... maybe they should focus more on their own lives!

We actually ask us why we didn't fly over to Africa one weekend to pick a baby
I think some people think it really is that easy because everyone seems to be doing it these days.

Thank you ladies!!! People are rude, I told these girls like 5 times "I CANT HAVE A BABY" And they say No baby, and touch my stomach..."HELLO" Dont touch my stomach!! Dh and I cant afford to adopt, You know what i rather spend money on traveling around the world and seeing the world if i can. I love my nieces and nephews i can spoil them with toys,Or whatever they want. If i could afford to adopt maybe i would... Thanks for the support.

I know how you feel. Everyone at my job (I'm a teacher) is pregnant and the old women who work as monitors ask me when I'm going to make my father a grand-father (My father has worked in the same school district since 1978 and they all know him). I'm asked at least 3x's a week by THE SAME WOMEN and they cannot accept an answer of "I'm not planning on having them." I'd rather not even go into my medical history with them because they are strangers and I shouldn't have to. It's so rude. Some of them go as far as to point out that when they were my age (25) they had 2 children already. I've basically said, "good for you" and just walk away. I really don't care if they think I'm a b*tch and say something to my Dad at this point. Just seriously leave me and my reproductive organs alone.

ugghhhhhhh that is horrible!! old women are the worst with this! i guess they were brought up in an era where that was your purpose, just to have babies, and that's what everyone did, and they still think that's what women should do. Good for you for not giving them any explanation, it's none of their business!
I guess i've told everyone we know already that we're not having any so everyone has stopped asking. Even my neighbors don't ask lol and i'm living in the co-op i grew up in, and everyone knows everyone else here

People can be such dorks some time.
Two choices :
- burst into hysterical tears and wail : how many times do I have to tell you that I CAN"T HAVE A BABY. YOU KEEP TORTURING ME !
- silence them with an icy stare and then delcare that the chocolate cupcakes at Martha's Country Bakery are the best you've ever had.
Either choice you will confuse the heck out of the dorks.
I'm childless by choice, mainly because of our ages. I still get asked the 'when' question, and if I'm feeling quite plucky, I respond with the cupcake retort.

I cant have a baby because I'm on medication that i cant ever stop taking, I use to have seizure's as a baby"But" I haven't had a seizure in 38 year's!! Also I'm going to be 40 year's old and dh is 45, So also age is a fact for us as well..

I am so surprised people that know your situation would continue to ask about having children. I would just tell them flat out that they are not in your future and that it's not open to further discussion. There's no need to be polite to people that are continually insensitive and rude.
