Your best trick or treater story from today
Mine was a little boy (about 4). He chose a lollipop and was so excited. So as he's running down the driveway his mom goes "So what'd you get?" and he says "A rock!!!!!"

Re: Your best trick or treater story from today
2 little girls with their parents came to our door. I opened the door and they didn't say anything.
So I said, what do you say when someone opens their door (I was looking for "trick or treat"). She replied "thank you"!
ETA: Then the older sister after her saying "trick or treat" and me giving them their candy.. handed me a note card that had "thank you" stamped on it and a sticker that said "Jesus loves you".

Re: Your best trick or treater story from today
That's cute!
We went by my parents for the afternoon and early evening..Trick or treated over there.
I was helping hand out the "Goodies". My mom decided this year to do Free Frosty's at Wendy's. The kids loved this! Free ice cream.."Mommy Daddy..Free ice cream"..LOL
I answered the door for 4 young girls and Im assuming their father..Well the girls thanked me and the fathers eyes LIT UP.."WOW..THANK YOU SO MUCH".. It was great to see the parents tell my parents "Great idea..Thank You" and the kids loving it!
My mother says this will be her "Thing" every year.

And their address is.... That is a great idea.
My kids went as Jack and Jill.
Someone looked right at my DD and addressed her as "Jill". She shook her head and said, "NOOOOOOO.... fjhdoejnosdkerkloe;w (upset babbling)

Re: Your best trick or treater story from today
DH was putting DS down for a nap when the doorbell rang. Our dog was getting used to the doorbell ringing so he didn't bark.... at first. The doorbell must have rung 10 times before I got to the door. Max the dog was barking his head off and I was cursing under my breath thinking it was &^%$$# teenagers.... nope! Just a sweet princess no more than 5 years old!
I chalked it up to her being REALLY excited about trick or treating!

Re: Your best trick or treater story from today
Two stories...
DD had her little party at daycare today and practiced her "Trick or Treat" with the daycare director, who put candy in her little pumpkin bag. We walked home and got in the elevator to go up to our apartment to wait for DH. Another tenant gets in the elevator and DD holds out her bag and says "Trick or Treat!" to him. Unfortunately, all he offered her was his cable bill.
Later, our family went trick or treating around our neighborhood with another family from DD's daycare. The two little girls (my DD and their DD) did so well with saying "Trick or Treat" and "thank you!".
At one of the last houses, the guy who answered the door got on their level and complimented them on their costumes. DD took her treat from his bowl, her friend did too and they both stood there looking at him. We prompted them to say thank you a couple times, but nothing. Then DH says to DD, "well, you have to say something".
"Something", DD says.
Almost 2 years old and she's got a sense of humor!
