Your design style?
How would you describe your design style? Modern, contemporary, traditional, eclectic, cottage, old world, transitional?
ETA: What is your DH's design style?
I guess I wouldn't define myself into one particular style. I love the look of mixing pieces together--traditional, modern and eclectic.

Re: Your design style?
I guess I'd say contemporary. I really like clean lines - but I dont think my home is modern in the mid century design sense.

Re: Your design style?
I took the HGTV quiz and I am the Ethnic Eclectic Your style is a mix of bohemian chic and contemporary ethnic flair. Whether you travel extensively or shop locally, chances are good that your home is filled with a collection of interesting accessories. By contrast, a neutral color scheme and furniture with simple lines is the best backdrop to accentuate your most colorful pieces. To achieve this mix-and-match design style, look to nature. "The concern with the environment is playing a big role in interior design trends – from colors you find in nature, to high-end natural fibers in wall coverings, to exotic woods and stone being used throughout the home," says Denise Turner, an interior designer in Alta Loma, California. It's all about simple lines and natural materials as a backdrop for your collectables and artwork.

Re: Your design style?
I think I'm eclectic. I like the idea of mixing antique wood pieces with mid-century modern with Ikea. I do lean more towards modern now - I love the clean lines of the 60s.
According to the hgtv.com degisn style test however, I am "Rustic Comfort"...never heard of that style...but I suppose it applies (if I had to label it something).
Rustic Comfort
The verdict is in, but there's a twist. Your design style is a combination: part updated country, part ethnic flair, both with a contemporary look and feel. You need a home with casual and practical style – an environment that'll work for kids, pets, company and more. The emphasis is on simple yet attractive, durable furniture will hold up over time while your colorful accessories energize and entertain for years.
"The furniture for this design style could be contemporary or traditional, says Julie Rackley, an interior designer in Bellevue, Washington. "The common threads are comfort and durability" That means easy-to-clean synthetic blends like micro-fiber, which cleans up swiftly with a sponge. (So long silk!) Function is a key consideration as well. A multi-purpose ottoman that doubles as a coffee table or storage unit would work for you.

Re: Your design style?
Try this LINK
You're eccentric with a touch of: sweet and classy.
I wold have to say that I like a lot of different styles and that is why I have a hard time making decsions. Pre-house, I was more modern, a Crate & Barrell type, but since we bought the house, my style has become more traditional purely based on the features of the house and the dining room I inherited. but I am trying not to make it stuffy!

I got the same thing. I like a mix of traditional styles but I like things clean and not cluttered. I love the look of tall trees in my backyard but I love waterfalls and fountains as well.

Re: Your design style?
DH and I agree somewhat. We have an oooollllldddd apartment with original moulding, wood floors, tall ceilings, so we need to keep with that.
We like wood...dark, rich wood. We like the key west hemingway style b/c it is classic but airy or even a bali feel. I can't quite explain it. Basically, go to a hotel in Key West and hang out in an open air lobby. Then bring that home.
I hate modern. I like traditional and classic.
I also think that our style matches our home. IE: if we had a beach house, we'd go for lots of whites and blues and sheers. Make sense?
ETA: According to the quiz, it's sweet, with english, tuscan, cottage and romantic being the topics.

Classic for me.
I don't know how they really determine that with those questions..seems too vague but it was fun.

Classic...nothing tendy or faddish.
Before I did the HGTV quiz I was going to say country chic as my style.
