Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
I don't even know!
I love the idea of those overwater bungalows, but I get bored easily just being on the beach. I like to explore things. We had an amazing time in St. Lucia, relaxing on the beach, exploring sites, and diving. I really loved that.
I've also had amazing vacations, yes, at Disney World where every day had some new magic to it. I really like just going anywhere when it's just me and DH.
Next year we're planning to do a few days at Disneyland and then a week at Aulani on Oahu. I'm thinking that vacation will be a good combination of all of the things we love.
I also can't wait to get to Italy as well

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
I always thought sailing the seas for a couple of weeks would have been my perfect vacation. My DH and I went on a 2 week Hawaiian cruise in October. We loved it BUT the 4 days each way at sea was a bit much for us. I think I would have liked a few more port days.
We have been to Aruba many times and plan on going back. Its got just enough stuff for us to do yet the beaches are BEAUTIFUL and it makes for a very relaxing vacation.

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
I think my perfect vacation would be 5 weeks (although it's possible I'm overestimating, because I always take 1-week vacations and they feel way too short). We would go to 3 completely different places, each for 11-12 days. The places could vary, but here are some totally random variations I think I would love:
Fiji - India - Botswana Patagonia - Egypt - Iceland Alaska - Hawaii - Colombia Tokyo - Morocco - Argentina Turkey - Sydney - Panama New Zealand - Mauritius - South Africa Peru - Tibet - Hawaii

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
My perfect vacation is 10 days in length. After that I'm itching to go home. My two perfect vacation spots are St. John USVI and Aruba. Love them both. I would love to go to Tahiti, Fiji or Bora Bora just once to experience it, but not sure if I want to spend that much time on a plane with DH. I would also love to explore Europe, to show DH the places I've been to and where I spent so many summers with family.
The perfect vacation would also entail DH packing his own stuff, instead of me doing it all.

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
Right now, I'd love to go to Hawaii for 10 days. Explore the islands, relax on the beach. All that good stuff.

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
For me it's 3 weeks in length. Somewhere in Asia. Time spent in the cities and then on the beach! Shopping, Museums, Spa, exploring!

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
Someplace I can unplug, and relax. Lately we've been doing vacations where we drive someplace and stay there for a few days and see the sights (DC, Boston, etc) and unfortunately this doesnt seem as relaxing as going to a tropical island and just laying on the beach. Seems that when we do the local trips we try to load them up with activities so it doesnt seem very relaxing in the end.
We usually go away for 7 days - once we went away for 10 and I had enough and wanted to be home. But, that might only be because I miss kitty. If I didnt have kitty to come home to then maybe I would be open to longer.

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
I want to trek through all of Australia, learn to play the didgeridoo and dive into sharky waters in a cage.
I want to go on safari.
I want to see India.
I would love to see Pearl Jam overseas; I almost went to see them in Costa Rica a few months back but it just didn't work out. Perhaps Ireland?
This year we're going to Bangladesh (where DH is from).
Next year is a milestone birthday for my mom; we're going to Alaska with my parents. It's a dream vacation for her - a cruise plus land tour. It's now becoming a dream vacation for DH and I as well.

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
I would like a month in Australia and New Zealand.
The Great Barrier Reef, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, drive through the Outback and see the whole continent. Then fly over to New Zealand and take in how beautiful it is.

Re: Your Perfect Vacation??
Laying on a beach anywhere...under shade for me...DH frying as always..
Sitting on the deck of a house in NH overlooking a lake in the summer (Get to do this every few years when I can crash at my brother's rental)
Going to Vegas for a few days...miss "having" to go when DH had to travel there on business...
Heading out west or doing a cross country trip...
We did alot of traveling before our job losses/changes...so I'd be happy doing anything at this point...last time I flew was 6 years ago!! 2 weeks always works for me...enough time to get away...not too long that I miss my own bed.
