Your young toddler's room

What do you moms have in the room of your young toddler, ages 18 month to 2 years...

We are moving into a 2 bedroom soon from a one bedroom where we live now. Benjamin is going to have his own room for about a year, till the new baby is old enough to room with him.

Right now he has a crib in our bedroom and a plastic white set of draws where I keep his clothes. (very convenient, btw) We change him on our bed.

My question is: what should I get for the new room and where do I change him now when our bed is in our bedroom? For example at night, when we bring him from his bath into his room, where do I change him into his PJs?

TIA!

Sarah has a convertible crib, 5 drawer dresser, glider & ottoman, toy box & hamper in her room. I change her on the floor. We've never had a changing table.

I moved Andrew to his toddler room to prepare for Lauren. We left the crib, dresser (aka changing table), armoire and glider and ottoman in the nursery and ended up buyuing Andrew all new stuff for his room. He has a toddler bed, seating bench, and a tall dresser. Plus his little table and chair. He gets changed on the changing table in the nursery, but I find he is too big for it now, and besides, Lauren is in that room now, so we just change in on the floor. I could never change either of them on my bed, it just grosses me out. Sorry.

Re: Your young toddler's room

Most of the time we are downstairs and we tend to change Nate on the bed in the guest room. The bathroom with the tub is on the 1st floor, so we put his PJs on in the guest room and bring him up to his crib when he falls asleep. We have a changing table in his room but we barely use it. If we have to change him while we are upstairs, I usually do it on our bed.

Unless you want to get a changing table for the new baby, I wouldn't get it just for your toddler. I think you can still change him on your bed.

I love my changing table. However, considering that he's older, you may want to use the top of a dresser. The changing cushion has straps you can screw to the back of the dresser. It's so convenient because you have all the clothes right there. I have a dresser/changing table and dress and change DD right there. Works very well.
