"Youve won an all expense paid trip"

This is the message I came home to today. My husband put our names in at a baseball game he went to last weekend.

How can you tell the scams from something that is real?

I would like some advice before I call back..

Man, I could really use it...

Ehh, bummer - but it's usually a scam of some sorts

It might be a time-share promo where you do go "free" but you have to sit in on 3-4 hours worth of their sales pitch

It might be worth it if you 100% don't buy the product, but DH and I sure got raked in

I guess we will call tomorrow, it cant hurt to hear the "strings" that are attached.

I have won an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii (no strings attached).

Don't give a credit card, get everything in writing.

I won a cruise but had to pay the taxes. I entered a raffle though at a town carnival.
I have won many things in the past and they do NOT send you a letter in the mail. It is ALWAYS a person from the company calling you.

I won a cruise once and the only string was that I had to go when they said and in the bottom room of the ship

my husband won an all expene trip to Russia plus 10000 in spending and got to ride in a fighter pilot.. just make sure you pay taxes on it ... you have to file a 1099. that trip had an estimated cost of 40000 dollars!!

There was one time many years ago when living with an ex-BF, we got a call saying we had won a new car.

Of course, me being the biggest skeptic never called them back wondering what the scam was. Turns out we really did win a car!

But I never trust anything that says "all expense paid"

I'll never forget, we won a fully paid trip..I forget to where LOL but the catch..We had to listen to a sales pitch on freakin pots and pans. We walked out! I was fuming!!!
