YUCK- Formula spilled in diaper bag!

and it SMELLS bad!

I have the cutest bag too, a gift from my sister, and I dont think I can wash it! Its cloth but outside is plastic.

I may just retire the bag.

Baby wipe that thing down and then air it out. Or scrub it with a washcloth and soap.

I hate the way formula smells

Can you turn it inside out out and handwash the cloth part in the sink??

I had the same thing happen to me a bottle spilled inside.
But my bag is all plastic(the similac one you get for free at the hospital) so I just took a some soapy paper towels and wiped it down, then wiped it down a second tiem with just wet paper towels, then air dried, and now tis like new.

Why can't you wash it? I say throw it in the machine, but don't put it in the dryer (you don't want to melt the plastic ). I don't think they'd make a diaper bag you can't wash. would they?


Anyway...I know the feeling, I've done that too. And it stinks!! In all senses of the word

OMG...the same thing happened to me while we were away. I realized it while we were waiting for the valet....it was soo disgusting. I was going to throw the bag away, but I used clorox clean up wipes and let the bag air out for 2 days and it was fine.

If you are going to just trash the bag any way why not try washing it and see what happens. Just use cold water and don't put it in the dryer.

Or handwash it in the sink --- that shouldn't do any damage.

This is why I swear my vera bradley diaper bags ---- they are 100% washable!
