Z100 this am...internal sonogram
Was anyone listening to Z100 this morning? They were talking about gynos & then about hubbies being there & internal sonograms. They scared the he11 out of me mentioning how big the internal tool is. They were also saying the hubbies lost it w/ how big the camera thing was
When do they do this? Is it really that bad?

DH was right there for the internal sonogram...you are so fixed on the screen, you won't even notice.

The tool used for the internal sonogram is shaped like a giant penis with a condom on it.
It doesn't hurt at all.

I had mine today which was my first appt. at 8 1/5 weeks. It's really no big deal. You don't feel anything and you really are there to see what's on the screen. My hubbie was there for the first baby - through it ALL. He survived and loved being able to be a part of everything. It's so NOT sexual at all and your hubbie will probably more nervous about you and the baby

As someone who had IVF and fertility problems, I have had at least 50-75 internal sonos and Its nothing. You do not even feel it.

DH was with me for one of mine. He was fine. They do not hurt at all and the instrument isn't as bad as it looks.

A giant NARROW penis. A pap smear is less comfortable. I had many internal sonos b/c of fibroids, both before and after surgery.

Honestly, it's not a big deal.
I must have had it 100 times while undergoing fertility treatments. It was a wonderful surprise when there was finally something, or "somethings" in there.
On the infertility board we call it the "Dildo-cam"

its like a umm hmmm.......u know.
lights are out and everyone looks at the screen

the newer ones are much slimmer. Definitely not scary. I did make a point of showing the parts of the sono machine to DH before the tech came in. I did not want him to be "shocked" by anything he was going to see.

My dr. did an internal at 6 wks to confirm I was pregnanct with DH in the room. I had no idea I was getting it done until she popped out the machine. DH's eyes got real wide when he saw the "tool". But it actually wasnt bad at all. Your so side tracked by looking at the screen to see your baby you dont realize what is going on.

I just learned recently (1st baby!!!) that it would be an "internal" sono.
I warned my DH. I explained to him that that's probably what they would do.
I just switched to a female dr. He actually thanked me for "warning" him so he kind of know what to expect. And he fells more omforable that it's a female dr.

I didnt think anything of it - she put a little lube on it and in it went - although, I must say, at the risk of making you all gag from the TMI I will share, but I have much experience with large tools!
Plus, DH is quite confident with his manhood!
