My boy is a MONSTER! He is 13 pounds, 9 pounces and 24 3/4 inches long. She was doing tummy time with him and having him stand on the table. The doctor said that he will be in his exersaucer well before 4 months. Chat Icon She also said that she feels a tooth will be in by next month. He is growing so fast!

She thinks his congestion and spitting up is an allergy issue. We are doing lacidaphillus (sp?) in his formula for now to see if that helps. If it is still bad next week, we switch to Alimentum and then go from there. He has bad cradle cap and dry skin on his cheeks which she said could also be from the allergy. Looks like he is following in his daddy's footstepsChat Icon

She would not give him any of his shots because she wants to treat his allergy/congestion/spit up issue first. She didn't want to start changing things and give him shots at the same time because if he had any sort of reaction, we wouldn't know the source of it (shot or formula change). Once he is healthy eatingwise and his immune system is stronger, we will start shots. We have an appointment next month to see how he is doing.

I really am happy with the way the doctor is handling all this. We are doing things in steps and trying to not just take cow's milk away from him so quickly. I also like that she wanted to hold off on the shots until we figure this all out. That was something that I was concerned about. I am a little nervous about him being out and about without some of his shots but we will be careful. I was going to do a condensed version of the shot schedule anyway.

Has anyone had any experience with an allergy like this? Anyone handle it similiar?
