Zantac???
DD Pediatrician mentioned Zantac for what they feel is bad gas - Colic and or Acid Reflux. Any experiences with this? Most times after DD eats she screams and cries in such pain, clenches her fists tightens her legs, puts her hands in her mouth and sometimes even spits up As per Pediatrician we tried Chamomile, Mylicon to no avail... She is breastfed and we also give her bottles of my milk. She is 6 weeks. We just want DD to feel better and want to do whatever it takes! Thanks!

Re: Zantac???
My dd had bad reflux up until she was 6 mos old...the DR had put her on Zantac, and it does work....your child may still spit up, but the pain associated with it will be gone. She would also refuse to eat, and arch her back when I tried to feed her. I would def try it, but make sure as she gets bigger, that they adjust the dosage, b/c it is weight sensitive.

Sounds just like my DS except I did not breast feed! He has been on Zantac since he was 1 month old. I was willing to try anything to make him feel better!!!!

Same here. It worked wonders! Although we have not adjusted the dose, as per the ped it is like weaning her off of it. We are hoping to be done with it by 6 months.

Re: Zantac???
Sara is on Zantac and drinks Nutramagin for her belly. Zantac DOES work however Sara hates the taste - does anyone else have this trouble? She makes the funniest faces after she takes it.

Same her. We ended up needing to switch to Prevacid but we took her off it at 4 months and now at 7 months it seems like her spitting up is finally dwindling.

Yes, she doesn;t like it. We used to have to wait until she was crying and squirt it down her throat
Now she will take it, but she doesn't like it. I usually give her her bottle right after to get the taste out of her mouth. We have also had it flavored grape at the pharmacy. It helps a little, but the taste of zantac is so strong the grape just takes the edge off a little.
