Zofran Pump (sorry for the multiple posts a lot has happened over the past week)
This past Friday I went to the hospital for the 3rd time this month (2nd time in the same week) due to excessive vomiting. I have been so sick. They have me on every kind of medication under the sun for the vomiting and nothing is helping. When I went to the ER they pumped me with IV and checked my urine. Turns out I had a UTI that turned into a kidney infection so they admitted me and I finally was released on Monday (turns out if you have a kidney infection while pregnant it can be bad for the baby).
Anyway while I was in the hospital one of the OBs came in and saw me and told me I will probably have to be set up with a zofran pump by a at home nurse facility. Does anyone have this? Does it hurt? Does it help? Is it always in? Any details you have on this would help me out a lot. If it helps then bring it on! I feel stuck in our apartment because my head is always in the toilet.
I'm about 10 weeks and REALLY hope this is a first trimester thing!!!

I know my SIL had one and it did help. I don't remember more than that though. I know her insurance gave her a hard time but her OB fought for it and it ended up all covered. I don't think it hurt her at all.
Hope you feel better soon!

Zofran Pump (sorry for the multiple posts a lot has happened over the past week)
the unlucky person who had it was me. Ask away. I started throwing up at 5w 6 days, was throwing up 7-9x a day and lost 25 pounds. I was on the pump from 12w-17w. The nursing service is Alere they will come to your house and set you up. Its a little daunting at first but it does help. Yes, the pump is on you 24/7 and you have to call into their service every day with your keytone levels and weight. The first week or so they will adjust your meds till they find out what works. My stomach looked like a pin cushion through because you have to put a small needle into your stomach and thats how the meds are pumped in. After awhile its more annoying then anything. If you have been dehydrated and on an IV before they may have you be on one at home. The home nurse came and set it up. You do have the change the bags yourself, I had dh stay home and do it for me. Good luck. I still throw up and I am 18w but its only 1x a day compared to 7-9x and I am now on the zofran and regalen pill. FM me if you have more questions. If you are that sick call your dr and have you set up npw. They waited with me and all I did was suffer.
