Weekend Getaway (New England area)

Anyone have any recommendations for a cabin On a lake or a decent pet friendly hotel in any of the NE States?

But I need clean and fairly modernized. We’re thinking of bringing our dog. We never really brought him anywhere.

But if there’s a place that you absolutely recommend that doesn’t allow pets; I’m all ears!
