I called - left a voicemail, and then emailed Christina Bedell today. I relayed how I am sending messages to this group and was looking for an update. I'll let you know of any responses. Restitution payments would be helpful, especially at a time like now.

I got taken - I can't believe it- STAR related
I spoke to Christina Bedell again today, she said if you didn’t reach out to her office and you were affected, please contact her now (info below), as they are beginning to issue restitution checks; she said I would get mine shortly. Good luck everyone - you’ve been through it!

That's great! I'm glad you're finally getting restitution. I still can't help but wonder if you'll be getting the full amount back or if it'll be like what happens with a class action lawsuit and you end up with pennies on the dollar. You've spent a long time waiting for this, I hope it's not the latter. Did they say?

I spoke to her via e-mail. I find that it takes her a few days to get back. Try email if no one answered - she has also returned my calls if I leave a voicemail.

No idea what the amount will be. I saw that his house was put on the market at one point last year.
I'm happy he was held accountable and I hope that the next time he thinks to be nasty to someone (the way he was so outwardly, and self-righteously nasty to me when I met him in court) he thinks twice.
Hopefully we all get back what we lost.

Quick Update, I got my restitution check in the mail for the full amount too. I was so happy I started crying. Thank you to everyone in this forum for all your help. I am so happy justice prevailed.

bring back a super old thread but.... did anyone here ever get $$ back? I just called today because i remembered i never got anything. I submitted evidence years ago on this and got a letter from the attorney general office because they had record of me paying him. Just wondering what the outcome for all of you was

wait omg i really am lost lol i thought i was reading other people got the check... I got hte check and i don't even remember!!! lol wtf is wrong with me
i literally called them today and left a message. they probably think i'm nuts
ETA: yup, i'm an idiot. I just went through my old bank statements and I see a deposit made on the date I posted here... lol
