Video game party ... how long?

my DS will be having a video game party. Not my first choice and not his (he asked for yet another bounce house type party but those places are not open) though he said is really excited about it but in reality he doesn't play video games that much. he mostly plays them when at my parents house with my nephew (which we go almost every weekend).

That being said not sure how long is enough time; is an hour of video gaming enough or should we do 1.5 hours. I dont want it to be too short but I also dont want them to be bored.

Is it just with one gaming system at your house or a truck?

If there are multiple systems I say 2 hours. If you are just having kids over to take turns playing I would say less (as they get bored).

ETA - sorry I misread and meant 1.5 hours of gaming, 30 minutes for pizza/cake.

Re: Video game party ... how long?

If they are not big gamers and a game truck and hour is long enough. We had the game truck 2 different times for each of my sons. The first party they had to stay in the truck because it was raining and some kids got bored. MY other son half of them spent most of the time playing in my back yard.

Depending on the age of the kids and how many.
If there's a lot of kids and there a lot of gaming systems I say an hour and a half. Usually kids are in and out playing and I've seen those trucks that have games on the outside as well or lazer tag.

If it's a few kids over an hour may be too long. Even young kids too. For my 11 year old I'd do an hour and a half bc those boys can sit and play forever. LOL

Then you have pizza and cake after.

Thanks!

Its not a game truck but a place and each child should be able to have their own kiosk they don't even have to share! but each kiosk 2 people can play if wanted. so really no kid will never not have a chance to play the whole time.

from my list I would say most if not all def. play video games often and the ages range from around 8 and up

Video game party ... how long?

Just an FYI for other types of parties. My son just went to a Ninja Warrior party as Freeport Ninja Academy and it was great. They are super clean and followed ass requirements.
