has anyone ever been? Thinking of going one weekend in december- it looks like they do a ton for the holidays there, but just wondering if it's worth it for a 4 year old

We went last year. It was nice but chilly.
They had ice skating on synthetic ice, hot cocoa, Santa and nice decorations. Oh and reindeer.
Not everything is open and it got crowded but now since you need reservations it may be better.

thanks- still have to think about it. I'd like to do something, but it's just a little risky right now :(
I'm just so sad that there's nothing to do this holiday season. So much is gonna be cancelled

Re: hershey at christmastime
We went last year and had SO much fun. We stayed at the Hershey Lodge and it was beautifully decorated. They park was so festive, there were Xmas lights everywhere, Xmas music was playing throughout the park, everything was re-themed for Xmas, there were hot cocoa stations, fun activities for the kids and the real reindeer were the coolest!
The drive through light show is AMAZING, we all really loved that. It's like the Jones Beach Light Show but WAY better and WAY longer. The only thing you have to be prepared for is that it's COLD, especially at night. Bring coats and mittens and keep a hot drink with you throughout the park.
Things might be a little weird with COVID but under normal circumstances, it is worth the trip. Lots of festive fun.

We went a few years ago and will be going this year for DDs birthday in November. We went to Hershey in August and they did a good job of keeping the social distancing measures in place. I'm looking forward to going in November again. We've done their Christmas pre-COVID and they did a great job of decorating and having a lot of activities. You have to make a reservation in advance FYI

We went for Christmastime once. I remember how beautiful it was--and lots of special seasonal touches!

We’re thinking about going this year for DD’s birthday since a party is out. Looked at Hotel Hershey and I thought it was kind of expensive but we might bite the bullet.
Glad to hear from others that it’s fun!

Re: hershey at christmastime
We went a few years ago and had the best time. They have a breakfast/lunch/dinner with Santa that was awesome. Not sure how they are handling that this year.
Agreed it was very cold..bundle up!
Also there was a polar express type train ride you can book in Strasbourg railroad station. That was fun too. But again..not sure if that will happen this year.
