We will go to the beach, get some crafts at Michael’s, do a puzzle, and rent a new release movie

If you're comfortable, bowling is open -every other lane, masks required. Best to go early because half capacity and a holiday week, it may fill up fast.

Geocaching. There's a free app for it.

Real-world treasure hunting. There are cases stashed all over the world. Some are really easy to find, and some are really hard. Most kids like it when they find the cache, and even moreso when it's a bigger one and they can exchange items with what's in the geocache.

Make s’mores. Drive into Manhattan and see the tree, Bryant park, St Patrick’s(no crowds right now), go to a hotel just for the indoor pool, movie night. Ice skating. Road trip to American dream in NJ( to walk around and visit the candy store(if you don’t want to do the $$ attractions). This mall is not crowded right now. We actually did all of these things in the last week.

We just went to the children’s museum in Garden City and it was impossibly quiet. We had every section to ourselves and they have a system to sanitize touched items. Many parts of the museum are closed or altered but my kids had fun anyway. I’m concerned about the museum’s future and ability to employ staff as the place seemed almost too quiet to continue to operate.

Do you need to make a reservation to do the skiing or the water park?

Yes. My niece went Sunday and booked her tickets online the night before. It wasn't too busy. She did the skiing. Different times are different prices (busier times are a little more). Get the "$15 viewing ticket" so you can go into the snow area and watch. There is no other area to watch the skiers. It's VERY COLD in there, so dress warm.

I think movie theaters are open...? I have kinda lost track of what is open and what is not, but I feel like I have heard of people going to movies.

They are open on Long Island.
Friends of ours went last week.
Bowling is also open here.
Move theaters are not open in NYC. Indoor dining is also not open in NYC though and its open on Long Island so you can't compare the two

Yes you need tickets in advance for any of the amusement areas of the mall. Its immense so it does not feel crowded. Even just walking around the mall area its not crowded.

Re: Any fun stuff to do this week

We went snowtubing in NJ the other day. Spent the night at a cheap Marriott hotel right near it, had the pool to ourselves (they only book your party for an hour in the pool). It was great.

American Dream is awesome, we love Big Snow there. We are not doing that this week though. But, did it recently. The waterpark is awesome there too, but we went right before the shutdown. Looked empty last time we were in the mall though.

Movies are open. We go often. Never more than like 8 people in the theater when we have been.

Most outdoor places, like ice skating, snow tubing, etc. are all booked up because there is nothing else for people to do.
