People need to stay home. The only way Covid can mutate is IN people. If less people get sick, there will be less chances for mutations.

Same. I go to work - I’m essential. My son goes to school. I go grocery shopping once a week at 6:45 am to avoid people. Not ideal but it is what it is for the time being. We try to do a lot of fun, special things with our son.

Stay home and then what? Live on welfare? People have to work, kids have to be educated. We have shown that we can lock everyone down for months and once people are let out again, viruses will spread. It's just the way it works, unfortunately.

Exactly and now all of a sudden Cuomo says oh yeah I think we need to open up. Really? We should not have closed down as much as we did.

If we are wearing masks and people are getting vaccines, there is no reason to close down.

Work could be a restaurant that has to close at 10pm because you know you could get sick at 10:01 and not 9:59.

California is stricter than everywhere with lockdowns. They don't even allow outdoor dining much less indoor. Schools are remote.
Compared to them, NY is practically 100% open!
And yet...they are still doing horribly. Not sure what the answer is

Exactly. How are they doing so bad when they are locked down so much?

The point of that was because adults tend to gather late at night to hang out and drink. Therefore, to minimize any large crowds gathering they instituted the curfew. If people would listen in the first place, it wouldn't have been necessary.

The areas that are doing the worse there hVe the highest population density in the US. Many people living in the same home. It’s much more dense than NYC. I posted an article a few weeks ago.

I check this stat often and California is pretty far down the list, as is NY and many of our surrounding states. Many states so much worse off. I'm not sure the answer either, but clearly shutting everything down doesn't work. Vaccines, hand washing and just being safe and smart. People still have gross hygiene. I see it in the store all the time. So we can mask up all we want (and everywhere I go people are in fact masked up...and I'm out and about often) but if people aren't handwashing often and keeping their hands out of their eyes and nose, it will just continue on.

I was speaking more of the towns who had the highest numbers and the places where many people live in the same homes.

Yes people are gross. I see people constantly coughing and not covering their mouths cause they are wear a mask!!

Hellooo people you still need to cover your mouth with a mask on.

This shittt is going to continue I’m over them finding a vaccine. They need to figure out a way to treat this so more people so more people survive it and we can move on with our lives. I know this is probably unrealistic but that’s what I would like to happen lol

They have made a lot of advancements on treatments in the past few months. But I agree, I think a vaccine combined with effective treatment is the answer.
