I had to work. In the office. 9 am - 5pm.
Me too and now I'm stuck here overnight.
Unbelievable! I hope they are compensating you more than fairly!
Absolutely agree! Stay safe!

I had to work. In the office. 9 am - 5pm.
Yikes. How were the roads??
I'm fortunately( unfortunately) within walking distance. But we have about 15 inches of snow. So while it was a snow day for rest of company, not remote, just off, me and another co worker who lives nearby had to go in and stuff envelopes. You know, because that's very important. They wouldn't even close early. Sorry, bad day, I'm very salty!!!!
Wait, what?? Did I read that right?? Everyone else got a snow day, but because you're within walking distance (yeah, because it's so easy and SAFE! to walk under these weather conditions) you had to go in to do some BS task?! That's so unfair and callous toward your safety! I'm angry for you
Yes, thank you! This is also a company that doesn't believe in Covid, and we have had 10 out of 23 people positive since Thanksgiving! They let people work while waiting for their Covid tests and if you get Covid, you only need to be out one business week before you return to office! I have called the DOL( about their unsafe Covid Practices) and I do know DOL did get involved. It took me 8 months of calling to get a response from DOL . I was in contact with them again today and they told me the case was closed because company said they were complying....I don't know if they make them submit proof or take their word but I'm leaning towards they just take their word because caseworker told me that he was going to speak to his supervisor to have case reopened. I am so sick to my stomach every day since March. I am looking for a new job, but I am stuck until then. I'm at the end of my rope...to the point were I think it would be better just to not wake up then to have to go into work each day to a place that mistreats their employees so bad. I have worked for decades, never worked for a place like this.

Yeah I can't believe the shit that you describe that goes on. My company is the complete opposite. I had to go in to my office last week to pack my desk as our lease is up and we'll have to find a new office space when covid simmers down and we're allowed back in person. They are being so strict with letting us in. They only are allowing one person in the building at a time so it's taking us a month to move out. I also had to sign like 100 waivers and agree to all these safety rules just to go there completely alone to pack a desk. I cannot believe your place gets away with this. They clearly have no care whatsoever for their employers safety, that's a given, but you think they'd be afraid of fines or lawsuits.

call OSHA and department of health to report, not so much DOL IMO, DOL never does anything

Thank you, I will try OSHA, I think they are the only ones I haven't. DOH wasn't interested. I have also contacted the Governor's Task Force, the NY Pause Enforcement, Mayor DiBlasio's Corona line ( My office is Queens) . The DOL was the only one who responded to me...I did not contact them directly, I think one of my complaints was funneled through to them.
What I didn't even say on my post Monday, because I was too upset, When I was in the office during the blizzard, our Board president walked in without a mask, proceeded to sit down in front of me, without a mask, and then proceeded to take out a tissue and blow his nose. I told him he should be wearing a mask, and got my @ss chewed out, and am now facing repercussions. I am literally making myself sick over this, my mental health is deteriorating rapidly. I just don't know what to do.

Wow! You got chewed out for telling him to wear a mask? I hope you can find another job quickly! That sounds like a terrible place to work! Hugs!
