Boar bristle brush
I had always heard that a boar bristle brush is really good for your hair and after doing a little research, decided to get one. After having it for about a week, I realize it makes my hair really staticky any time I use it. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas how to avoid the static when using this kind of brush (other than the "usual" static busters like drier sheets, etc)?

Re: Boar bristle brush
I bought one after seeing everyone online rave about them and it does nothing for my hair but make it a static disaster. I don't have the patience to figure out a fix, it makes my hair more staticky than I ever thought possible. I spent far too much money on it and it sits in a drawer, unused. Once in a while I try it out again just to see if my level of hate for it is irrational but it always ends up with me with a mess of static hair wondering why I bothered lol I'm interested to see if you figure out a fix or determine that the benefit of using it is worth the static.

Boar bristle brush
Same for me. I now use it to brush the sand from my trunk in the Summer (works well haha)

Boar bristle brush
Yeah I never understood the appeal. It had to be the worst brush I ever tried.
It’s like a medieval torture device.
