Do you recommend it? There is a new model. If you have one, which one do you have?

We have the old model and I enjoy it. My DH wanted it but I use it more than he does.

My friend has the new model and one plus is that the screen swivels.

Thanks so much. I was thinking of getting the newer model but I read some complaints of the screen shaking while on the bike due to being a swivel screen.

I have the Sunny 1805. I got it last March and it was $450 ish. I added a cadence monitor and spd pedals and shoes. The app was free for 3 months the so I saved there too. The only thing I don’t get is the leaderboard. I don’t miss it.

I have the original bike and absolutely love it. I don’t need the features on the newer model.

I am thinking of getting the original model. The newer one has the bigger screen and you can turn it to do a class, but I can use the app on a tv anywhere in house. I read problems with a few other new features on the plus.

The bike+ has auto resistance and apple integration. I have heard the auto resistance is annoying- it’s easy to change the resistance yourself.

Yes! I also read the auto resistance sometimes doesn't change at the time it is supposed to. I read quite a few things, so leaning toward the original. Thanks for your input. Only just went to try one out this past week.

I have the gen 3. I wouldn't recommend the Bike + right now. Wait another year or so for that model and let them work out all the kinks. From what I've read there are a lot of manufactoring issues.

That being said, I do like the bike. I'm still not sure what the hype is. To be honest... I'm not big on exercise to begin with. I was hoping the live classes would get me more motivated during this pandemic, but I still have a hard time finding motivation. :(

Thanks for the info. What is the gen 3? Is that the original bike? I really want to get the bike now.

I have the original. I got it last may. I love it. With the bike +, the only feature that appeals to me is the rotating screen because I enjoy the strength classes. But other than that I am extremely happy with the bike I have.

Gen 3 = 3rd generation of the original bike. It's the latest model of the original bike. Anyone getting the original bike would be getting the gen 3.

There are a few difference from what I can remember from when I was doing reseearch:

Bike +:
Has rotating screen and bigger screen. They offer a lot of other classes like meditation, boot camps, yoga, etc., so people like the swivle screen. However, you can easily stream those classes onto your TV and get it on a big screen.
Amazon also has a piece you can buy to make the screen rotate (however, you have to be careful when adding to the bike. It can void the warranty).

Auto follow- You can opt in to have the resistance on the bike be automatic with on demand classes. I'm new to cycling, so I wanted to be able to control my resistance. Chat Icon

Speakers- I believe the speaker placement is a little different on bike +.

Other than that... they are pretty much the same.

My only advice would be to buy a gel bike seat. The seat is not comfortable for longer rides.

Enjoy!!

Thank you so much! Yes, you really summed it up of the difference of the bike +. I felt exactly how you do, I can do the on demand classes on a bigger tv, want to control the resistance myself, etc. Appreciate it.

I got the gen 3 original bike during covid USED and have been loving it. Like others said i wouldnt use a swivel screen for classes because i can cast to my TV which is bigger and in a better space.
I find the screen is plenty big, the speakers plenty loud, and the resistance very easy to manually change myself. I am really missing nothing other than the apple integration of the new bike. I also paid cash so I dont have any payment plan other than the monthly subscription.

Same here but I got my bike from the manufacturer and paid it all up front. I did have to wait a few weeks before I got my bike not sure how long the wait is now but just keep in mind if you finance it through them you may end up making a few payments before your bike gets here.
You do have the option 0% financing if you quality. Also if you're new to cycling like I was you may not want the automatic resistance. Sometimes I can't keep up with the resistance of the class and need to go lower..it's easy to control yourself and I prefer it. No need for the swivel screen either since I can just connect to my Smart TV which is better for me anyway.

All so helpful. Thank you. I am going with my original thoughts and getting the original bike. I am new to cycling so I am not sure how I would like the automatic resistance. Plus like others said, I would rather use a tv in a better area if I decide on classes vs where I am putting the bike so no need for the swivel screen.
