They go home to DE when the First Lady travels. They will be back, it was already discussed on yesterday's news.

The article says they will return and this was planned for them to go to Delaware anyway for planned trip coming up.

Guess we will have to see if and when they return or this will be another “circle round” story.
Psaki at Tuesday's press briefing said the trip to Delaware by the family dogs was "previously planned already," and that they were being cared for there by "family friends." Psaki did not say when exactly the dogs might return to the White House, only that it will be "soon."

Actually no, I saw it on my local news station and then googled it and found a left leaning article so I wouldn’t be accused of it being a right leaning story
