Easter Baskets

Good morning!!

What is everyone putting in their 7 year and 10 year girls easter baskets this year? Obviously some candy but I always like to put things in that my kids can use or something fun they can do. Thanks!!

Re: Easter Baskets

I always give them fun outdoor things for the spring like bubbles, chalk, kites, balls, sunglasses, bug catchers, sand toys, etc. I also give them one toy that they've been asking for and didn't get for Xmas.

At 5 Below they had peeps themed kinetic sand. That's about it. I can't stand all that junk so it's really just candy.

Re: Easter Baskets

I don't have a girl but my almost 11 year old will get (besides candy and money) modeling clay, or book or two, and probably a new bathing suit and goggles.

I don't go crazy because his birthday is early April. Yeah the kid probably gets screwed because of timing lol.

Something they want since their birthdays are in the winter.

I have 7 year old boy and 10 year old girl. I will most likely be getting them both fidget toys cause that’s what’s in right now and they keep bugging me for them.

Re: Easter Baskets

I just ordered pool floats from Amazon that I will put in their baskets, along with the usual 15 pounds of candy ...

Outdoor stuff is a great idea, thanks everyone! I hate all the junk. I honestly waste so much money on candy because my kids will only eat a few pieces and then forget about it! So I will do a chocolate bunny and then fill with other stuff.

Along with the regular candy, chalk bubbles etc. I get things they need. One year I got new bathing suits, a new baseball mitt since my son is starting baseball in April. Last year a basketball. I’m going to buy it anyway lol so I just put it in the baskets. Oh also, I did the butterflies and ladybug kits. They love those too.

I usually get them a little bit of candy (not too much since then I will eat it), a gaming giftcard and a bathing suit or a board game.

If anyone has no time to put one together, my friends boutique in NJ is making them. You can pick them up or ship them. She custom makes each with whatever theme and budget you want and includes toys, clothes accessories basically anything you want. If interested, check out their Facebook page and mention Angelica sent you: https://www.facebook.com/ReesesHP

My kids are younger but we make a little basket for my niece who is 7. I went to 5 Below and they had some great stuff- I got some chalk, the big bubble wands, and a kite- each $1!
