Oh boy!!! I've been trying to get DH an appointment for weeks (as a public facing employee) and nothing! Maybe he'll get it by summer. lol!

Tips:
Cvs drops new appts 5am-7am. Sometimes at midnight and you can always find appts randomly though the day. If NY says “no appts available” go through a different state that does have available and then once you get to state and zip code, choose NY and enter your zip. Also enter zips to as far as you’re willing to go (they only give you so much of a radius) that’s how you find cancellations etc by going through a diff state to start with
Rite Aid drops appts at 11:45pm
Walgreens at midnight
State sites from .gov , appts show up at :02 and :32 of every hour. So full it out and then get to page where you can keep updating. Click the locations I’ve rand over and over - appts pop up
Check Northwell health link periodically. They drop appts randomly and have pop up locations often.

I know it will make it so much harder now for people like your husband, and I am sorry about that. This should have been rolled out a whole lot better! Sometimes fast isn't the best, but that's the government. I am happy though that I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel!

although i'm on the other side of the country, i have had a pretty good go at it once i started going straight to cvs.
sometimes, i do have to refresh a lot... but it's been a million times faster and easier than trying the state site.

out here (CA), we'll be going to 50+ on the first of april and then 16+ on the 15th of april.

Oh no, I'm glad there will be more people eligible! I actually JUST got DH an appointment for this Friday. It's kind of far in Far Rockaway, but hey it's worth it!
ETA: It's a small pharmacy, not a chain.

Myself and two of my girlfriends got appointments today for Friday - first day we were all eligible. Keep trying. Two of us got it through Stop & Shop.

As soon as I woke up at 6:30 am, we got appts for tomorrow and sat. I tried a few different zip codes on cvs and got appts in queens - only about 20 mins away.
Just keep trying.

Got an appointment for Monday. I couldn't do it myself because I am out of the country right now and it tracks your location and disallows you, but I had someone make it for me. Feel a little bad getting it so soon since I already had covid but I tested negative for antibodies so I feel like I should get it. Especially since I am traveling internationally quite a bit in the next few months.

I woke up yesterday morning at 5:25 on a whim and just wanted to see if I can get an appointment on CVS website.
Got one right away for this saturday right down the block.
Definitely check through out the day.
I remember when I was getting my dad one, I went on walgreens and they had some random times in the afternoon in different locations.

I was at the Suffolk CC Brentwood site today. They told me that had 600 allocated doses for the day but tomorrow that number jumps to over 1300 and increases over time.
It was such an easy process there

That's right. I haven't been able to make any appt. DH had his second dose today. I'll check out with the tips suggested starting tonight. Until yesterday looks like pharmacies were only 50+, but today I'm elegible with the 30+
