So I just read the reversed the decision that kids 2-5 need to start wearing masks. It’s back to the old rule.

So what made him reverse it so soon after coming out with it?

I think pushback. Many of the Mid Hudson Execs sent a letter saying they weren’t enforcing this mandate and mentioned further guidance would be coming.

It doesn’t say but from what I can tell it was from all the pushback from parents and I think owners of daycare‘s etc.

So basically he probably got bombarded with calls, emails and fax.

I think that’s what really needs to be done!!

Everyone who is not happy should be calling writing emails etc. once a week or maybe daily the more people that do that theres more or a chance he might reverse some of the rules!! Not sure how much of a chance but a chance!

Interesting! And nice to see we may still have a say! I was really starting to feel helpless lately when it comes to that.
I thought for sure another woman had come forward saying he was being a pervy creep at work....that usually works too!

My state has required masks at daycare for kids 3 and over since September. Originally they didn’t need to wear them outside, but our daycare started requiring them outside about 2 months ago. School also began requiring masks outside a while ago as the cases were climbing.

I hope the outdoor mask requirements at daycare and school are lifted, especially as the weather gets warmer, but I don’t have an issue with them wearing masks indoors for age groups that can’t be vaccinated. My kids adapted easily to the mask requirements and will even sometimes wear them now outside when they’re optional. While my youngest has still had an occasional cold, I do think the masks have been responsible at least in part to her not getting the illnesses she normally picks up each year at daycare.
