Did anyone do anything for Flag Day yesterday?
Yesterday was Flag Day. Normally, I go with some of my Scouts to the American Legion and participate in their flag ceremony/flag retirement ceremony where they respectfully retire several unusable flags. They also talk a bit about the history of the flag, why it's folded the way it is, and the meaning behind the 13 folds that occur when folding up the flag.
They didn't have the ceremony, so I had a mini version of it with some of my Scouts. Some flag etiquette, how, when, and why we retire flags, and the proper way to fold them.
It's nothing big, but just my way of showing respect to the flag each year.

I just want to say that you sound like a great Scout Leader! I'm guessing you're with the Boy Scouts? I'm a Girl Scout Leader. The girls are in 7th grade and it's so hard coming of with things they want to do!

Yes, Boy Scouts (they technically renamed it to Scouts BSA, but outside of the organization, I still use Boy Scouts, since that's what everyone has known for 110 years...).
We have been extremely busy during the entire quarantine. We never skipped a beat. The country shut down on Friday, and we had a Zoom meeting that Tuesday. Because of me 3d printing all of those ear savers and face shield frames, we donated a lot of them to the Navajo Nation. To thank us, one of their elders joined us on a Zoom meeting and talked about some native traditions and first aid methods they use. Summer camps were cancelled last year, so I had Scouts from 8 different units come by to my yard and we had a modified summer camp for 10 days. We had a Nerf "rifle/archery range", a welding shop, lots of merit badge classes, a Trading Post, etc.
This year, my only two vacations are two different weeks at two different summer camps.
I love teaching the boys life skills and watching them grow. I'm not doing it just for my son either, since my son aged out of our Troop. I'll be doing this for a long time.

That's so nice.
My kids previous school did a beautiful Flag Day ceremony, I miss those days. Unfortunately, I didn't do anything at home myself.
