Family Friendly Town on the Jersey Shore
My family is thinking about renting a house on the beach on the Jersey Shore next summer.
We are looking for the following:
-House on the beach -A pool would be an excellent bonus -Walking distance to the boardwalk or town -Activities for the kids
I am not familiar with the Jersey Shore at all so I am not sure what towns to look for a house that fits the above criteria.

Long Beach Island! We went there every summer when I was a teen.

Family Friendly Town on the Jersey Shore
Long Beach island. There are a bunch of different areas that will fit most of your needs. Pool and beachfront will be tough. However more of the new construction have pools. I will say it’s expensive. I grew up spending my summers here and the rental costs have skyrocketed.
Another great place is Ocean City NJ. It’s a dry town so it’s super family friendly. Has a boardwalk and because no alcohol it’s clean and fun.

Family Friendly Town on the Jersey Shore
We do Ocean City NJ. Houses ON the beach, are $$$. Very few have pools though. We actually prefer to be farther from boardwalk- it's quieter, beach less crowded. We are walking distance to beach (there is a life guard at all even numbered streets, so that's what we look for) and no pool since we prefer the beach. The boardwalk- we drive over at night if we want to check it out.

Family Friendly Town on the Jersey Shore
We do Ocean City NJ every year. Best town for people with kids. It is a dry town so bring your own alcohol is recommended but love it cause it keeps the college kids away.

Cape May is awesome. No Boardwalk but IMO it's much nicer than Wildwood where the Boardwalk is. And you can always drive to the Boardwalk if you really want that experience for a day or night.
