bday party tip
I got off the phone earlier with the birthday party place for dd's bday. it's a 1.5 hr princess/spa party type of deal... was about $500 for the party including goody bags and was just told on the phone I can pay the remaining balance the day of and they suggest a 20% tip... Just wondering how many of you tip that much, and if not what do you/would you tip?
I'm kind of new to this, but I just feel like $100 is kind of a big tip when you're already paying $500 for the party...

Re: bday party tip
I have done about 20% before in an expensive party which was $100 or more too but there was also several people There running it so figured it probably worked out tipping each person $20. Granted many people told me I am crazy for doing that.
Now of it was only one or 2 people I wouldn’t have left that much. Personally I think $10-$20 per person is good. Tip based on how satisfied I am with what they did.
They get paid an hourly wage anything extra is a bonus IMO. But i also think tipping is out of control nowadays

Re: bday party tip
We always tipped $20 to the helpers, but my youngest is doing parties now where they work and the average tip is $50. Not sure the price of the parties but I would say at least $300.
