I always hear that you 100% should advocate for yourself and your health and not blindly listen to a doctor.
Doctors are not gods. They are humans and they make mistakes and are flawed.
I would 100% advocate for my child if I felt she wasn't getting the proper care or treatment from a doctor. Anyone who wouldn't isn't really a parent IMO.
Sometimes the blind faith that people put into everything that comes out of a doctor's mouth is a little disturbing.

And a fair Dr will be open to your suggestions. When i was trying to have my last child I had to do IVF due to age and other things after a few failed cycles I researched and got involved in my medicine protocol the Dr worked with me and we had success.

It really is, and if you aren’t advocating for your kids when it come to their education and medical care, you’re doing something severely wrong. Every parent should do their research and be a strong advocator for their child. Doctors, scientists etc are not Gods, like you said they are humans.
The other day my DH took my son to his physical and the doctor was going to give him his second HPV shot. Thank goodness my husband called me and had to push them to check their records because they were saying he had one dose. Imagine if he didn’t question the doctor? Then after apologizing for being wrong, she has the audacity to try to push the Covid vaccine on him. She is so lucky I wasn’t there. You almost made a huge mistake and then have the nerve to lecture me on a new vaccine. How about you get your records straight first before forcing a new vaccine down my throat for my healthy child.
