Re: Recommend a washer and dryer

We have Samsung front load washer and gas dryer. Love them! We've had them for about 10 years now. I do a lot of laundry (3 kids). You just need to leave the door open on the front loader when not using it so it airs out and every now and then I spray some bleach on the inside rubber ring at the bottom by the from loader door bc mold tends to build up over time (I guess the water collects there), but this clears it right up.

We also got the pedestals which I use all the time. I bring extra loads downstairs and when one is the washer I put the next load in the empty pedestal for when the machine is ready.

We just got the Samsung front loader dryer last year and then the front loader washer a couple of months ago. So far so good. They do the job and don't really have any complaints.
We got ours at Home Depot as they were the cheapest around and they delivered, took away the old and installed. Both during covid when other places were not doing that all.

Same but knock on wood I haven’t had a problem. They don’t make appliances like they used to though.

LG with top loading washer. I've been happy so far with them and I love the huge capacity of both.

Re: Recommend a washer and dryer

I have a Siemens (same family as Bosch) front loader washer and condenser dryer.

It’s good and no problems with it like other brands I have had before.

If you can get Miele, I highly recommend it as they last forever. But Bosch/Siemens is reasonably priced and last a long time.

I second anything by Miele, they are awesome. We recently bought a Miele dishwasher and it's been excellent.

I was just looking at Maytag….

Ugh. So stupid but I just cant decide. I really thought I wanted front loaders but im kinda leaning towards top loader, everything is expensive nowadays and I dont want to make a bad decision.

If you have pedestals for your old washer and dryer and want to continue using them, you will not be able to get the top loader.

Lol - we have a Samsung right now and it’s ok - lasted longer than my Maytag but my friend had huge headaches.

I would go with a top load washer

My parents got Samsung and it too broke literally within the first few weeks. It was a headache getting Samsung to deal with the problem.

I agree with the top loading washer, I love the top loaders. They have crazy capacity and don't have the mildew issues that many of the front loaders do.
