Symptoms can vary so much in each person. Some will have rashes or GI issues and others will go into full blown anaphylaxis. Some people can tolerate dairy without a reaction and others can't. Important to remember its a delayed reaction so often times you won't experience any symptoms until 6 hours or longer after ingesting mammalian products or even byproduct.

I was bitten by a tick 11 years ago, and about four years ago now I could not stomach dairy. It basically made all dairy products taste like vomit.
