LOL! I had no idea a group of them were called that.
I had ferrets growing up. My sister was a vet tech and brought home all types of animals. We adopted one ferret that an owner gave up because they couldn’t afford the surgery to save it. The vet performed the surgery (because it didn’t deserve to be put to sleep) and it turned out it ate a rubber tube. Then my sister took it home.
I shared a room with my sister. The ferret was nice and playful, but ferrets require so much work. It got along with the cats we had at the time and the dog. But then the ferret went swimming in my fish tank (I really like aquariums and it was a huge hobby growing up; I wanted study ichthyology at one time and if you ever have any aquarium question please ask!), and it killed one of my fish (tinfoil barb), despite having a cover and keeping it up at a decent height. I really do not like ferrets. Or it could be that my sister led me on and told me nothing until years later that she caught the ferret with the fish in its mouth. All along it was “I don’t know what happened to your fish.”
That being said, I was very happy when my sister moved out. That ferret was destructive. I also had more room to increase my aquarium hobby and get more tanks. I do have very good memories of the ferret, but I will never have one as a pet ever again!

 My friend when I was younger had two. They are adorable but smell horrid.
