Holiday gifts for coworkers?
So I joined a new work group about a month ago. I remember last year that a few of them exchanged gifts amongst each other. The group I can from was small-only 3 of us snd a supervisor and only the supervisor gave us gifts. This new group is 8 and the supervisor. I really don’t feel like getting gifts for all of these people. Can I get away with baking pumpkin or banana bread and putting it in a cute tin? My husband said no one will eat it bc if Covid.

Have they discussed gifts? Maybe they don't give them either? Maybe they do a secret santa or bring in food?
Personally I have no problem with anyone bringing in food and we always have something in our cafeteria and no one has been shy.

We usually exchange gift cards - our managers give us more $$ and we spend about $5-10 amongst the staff (there are 4 of us)

Yes, I know they exchange gifts. I asked one of the women in the group. She said somebody gave 25 gc last year. There's no way I want to spend that much. I think I'll do homemade bread and maybe look for some cute bottles of jam to go with it.

I think a baked good is fine. I think we all realized you can't get covid from food. I get my coworkers a small ornament or a small bottle of wine. Even a card with a few scratch offs. I try to stay under $10 since there are quite a few of them. I often make the gift if I can.
