Robo vacuum/mopping
Does anyone have one? Do they work? I vacuum a few times a week already, and sometimes it would be nice to not do it.

I just got one and love it. You still need to do a read vacuuming once a week, but it works so well for the other few days a week.

Do you have one with a mop function?

Robo vacuum/mopping
I had a vacuum and hated it. I have hardwood and it took longer for the vacuum to clean than it would have for me to just swiffer quickly in between myself vacuuming. I ended up selling it on fb.

How long do they usually run for? I have a cat that is terrified of the vacuum. Literally terrified.

My dog attacks the vacuum and mop and swiffer and rag and anything used to clean
I so wish I could have this but I know he would destroy it.

Re: Robo vacuum/mopping
I have both- a roomba and a braava- they work well for a basic clean- I run my roomba like 3 times a week - it doesn't bother me that she is slow- i set her to run when i am at work or at night I use the braava like once a week and I do a deeper clean when the mood strikes with the bissell crosswave.

This is what I’m afraid of. I recently sold a lot of things on FB marketplace because I am constantly trying to keep things simple. I’m afraid it will be just like another gadget like my air fryer was (I have a convection oven already).

We don't have one but we have friends/relatives who do and I didn't find it beneficial for the cost.

Robo vacuum/mopping
I’ve had one for a long time and I really like it. I mean it does miss stuff sometimes. For the most part though, it’s really wonderful. I have pets also that would be scared so I never put it on the timer. I only do it when I’m home and the pets are in a separate room.

I didn't like it at all. Maybe I just didn't set it up correctly but it was constantly missing things and would get stuck often. It was just as easy to pull out the vacuum.

Re: Robo vacuum/mopping
I have a Roomba that I run every.day. He is my BFFL and one of the most amazing purchases made. I have a black lab that sheds so much and the amount of hair and dust that the Roomba picks up never ceases to amaze me. It's a little noisy and takes a while to get used to your layout and sometimes it gets stuck but even with that I 1000% need Robbie the Roomba in my life.
I also have the Braava mop which TBH I am not a fan of. IMO it doesn't clean the floors good enough for my standards...it's more like a quick swipe not a deep floor cleaning but I am picky. My mom's neighbor has one as well and swears by hers. If I had to choose one definitely the Roomba vacuum 100%.
ETA: Roobma runs 1.5-2hours a day. My dog hated it initially but she's made her peace and generally avoids the Roomba.

Re: Robo vacuum/mopping
We bought a Roomba last year and lately we barely use it. My cat doesn't like it. He also hates the vacuum cleaner. But the main problem is that I have to put many things away in order to run it, like my cat's plates, loose carpets, etc. Now I can't run it on DS's bedroom because he wanted to get a hairy rug and it gets stuck there. But when I used it, it did a good job, but I got lazy about having to put too many things away.

I usually just let it run for 30 mins because I couldn’t take it anymore lol. It was louder than I expected too. And like another poster said, you have to pick up/move things out of it’s way, so I kept constantly checking to see where it was. It was more work for me than swiffering/vacuuming! My dog was scared of it too and she’s not even scared of my regular vacuum.

Re: Robo vacuum/mopping
Thanks everyone! This seems like something that I don't need. Two hours is crazy and my cat would surely have a heart attack from that. It also looks like more work. I'll stick to the regular way of doing things.

We have a Roomba and love it. Just a vacuum though, not the mop.
I have it set up to run at 10am every weekday when we’re not home—it does the entire first floor, including the kitchen and bathroom.
