Be maskless with a person vaccinated 9 months ago or someone recovered from Covid 1 month ago.

Debate between friends last night….and go.

Re: Would you rather

It depends if the person is against boosters and if the person that recovered is against vaccines.

That's not the question. It says 9 months ago so most likely boosters have not come into play.

To answer the question, both to me have the same risks so it wouldn't matter.

Would you rather

At this time I wouldn't feel completely comfortable around either person.
We have begun limiting who we expose ourselves to not so much because I am afraid we will get sick but more so because I don't want my children or anyone else in my family to have to quarantine for 10 days

Re: Would you rather

Well I’d rather be with someone that had covid. Natural immunity has been around way longer that what a vaccine can provide, for all our existence actually. So I’d trust that more. But I’ve learned that fear and stress don’t get me far, so I can’t live my live always thinking that I’d get sick from everyone. That along would actually screw my immune system and make me sick.

Well, I read it as someone who was vaccinated nine months ago, and someone who recovered from Covid one month ago.

No need to jump down my throat. The original meaning is not clear.

I didn't jump down your throat, I was pointing out what the question was. Don't get defensive.

Re: Would you rather

Neither of these would bother me at all.

The first person could potentially be sick no matter if they are vaccinated or not and/or if it has worn off and the other was just sick and over it so would be like any other person who was just sick and recovered.

Neither, I am masked all the time even in my sleep. I am also 6 feet away from my family members at all times, who are also masked 24/7. I mean you can never be too careful. I am only comfortable around my dog. I don’t even trust my reflection in the mirror!

Re: Would you rather

Covid recovered 1 mo ago.
And it would only be someone I know and trusted to be like minded. If you’re running around going to parties and group settings maskless, neither would matter because we’re not hanging out indoors without masks.
Vaccines = can still get and spread covid.
Had covid = can still get and spread covid

Same!

My mom is almost 9 months ago and doesn't plan on getting booster. And i've been around many people who recovered from Covid including kids at school around my kids who were out for 2 weeks and back.

Re: Would you rather

I would hang out with either person unless I didnt like them, then I would say I had Covid.

It is certain that the person who had Covid a month ago is the safer person to hang out with. The chances of the person having Covid for a second time within 4 weeks is very low compared to the vaccinated person. I’m also assuming the vaccinated person didn’t have Covid within the past 9 months.

Re: Would you rather

TBH I wouldn't care either way but if you asked me to absolutely choose I would choose COVID recovered 100%

That is one good thing about Covid. I had a built in excuse to not socialize with people I didn't want too! Chat Icon

Agree especially since they just had Covid a month ago it would be really unlikely they’d have a new infection already.

Ditto. Plus anyone whether you are vaccinated or not, or had Covid could still pass it on.

It doesn't matter to me. Someone else's vaccine/booster/prior COVID/etc. status is not something I think about when being around them.

Re: Would you rather

A doctor told us that it would not be possible for my daughter, who had recovered from Covid 2 months ago, to have it again. So my answer would be recovered from Covid 1 month ago.
